30 Day Singer is an online video course, with 30 videos of content (plus a BONUS course with seven additional videos!). Each day you watch a new video, and each day the videos get slightly more difficult. In each video your instructor will start with some warmup exercises, then you will work on strength-building and technique. The important part is that you follow-along with your instructor the whole time, so you always know exactly what to do.
Many of us have seen it happen while watching singing competition shows like The Voice, American Idol, or The X Factor Youre voice is incredible, but the song choice was all wrong. It usually ends with an elimination, especially if it is a consistent pattern. You might love a certain genre of music, but knowing whether a song is a good fit for your voice and audition is critical. Like many things, success is dependent on knowing your strengths and showcasing them. So what are the best so

We don't want you to just sing in the shower with your newly-trained voice. All of our voice students have many options to perform in recitals and performances that we have at the school throughout the year. Some of these performances happen right in the atrium in our own building. Students will get to perform with other students in their age group and skill level. Performances give students the opportunity to practice that final step of the music-learning curriculum by exercising the presentation of their skills in a public forum. The excitement and nerves of public performance can often derail good technique if it hasn't been properly learned and reinforced in the first place.

I take a physiological approach to singing... after all it is a physical endeavor. The voice or larynx, despite all its complexities, is just another set of muscles that can be trained to reach its fullest potential. The method that I teach, The Franco/Italian Bel Canto Method has been taught in Europe for more than 200 years and has produced the worlds greatest classical singers. Now having said that let me assure you studying this method doesnt mean that you have to become a classical singer. The techniques used are designed to strengthen and improve the quality of the human voice and can be applied to any genre ... View Profile
I love teaching Salsa because I certainly know it would bring happiness to my students. I always teach to my students to understand the rhythm and the music of what they are dancing, I teach them to listen, so they can afterwards without any doubt fall in to the rhythm without any problem. In my experience Salsa saved me a couple of times from quiting school, it took me to Europe and was the reason of meeting friends for life, family. I studied 2 years Jazz and Tap in Mexico. Later I taught as a instructor for the company Rumba Azteca in Guanajuato, Mexico and became a member of the staff of dancers for SalsaSi Dance Company in Kr ... View Profile
If you're new to singing, or if you're just trying to fine-tune your vocal skills, one fun and helpful exercise is to sing duet songs with your vocal instructor or a friend. Pick a style you both like and you'll find that the possibilities for both fun and music making are endless! Why Are They Helpful to Sing? School of Rock is where young singers and aspiring vocalists go to learn the fundamentals of singing like breathing, posture and diction. These basic principles are key to strong vocal performances. Our expert voice teachers help guide beginner singers through the early stages of vocal progression, assisting with pitch training, developing timbre and keeping steady tempo. Unlike most singing lessons, when students enroll in our programs, they can expect both weekly private singing lessons and group rehearsals. At School of Rock, our core philosophy is that the best way for students to gain musical proficiency is through performance-based music education. All of our lessons programs include a performance aspect.
the hopes he might change his mind, we went ahead with the lesson. Julia stayed professional, calm, and warm through the whole session, despite my son's lack of enthusiasm, and she tried everything to make him comfortable. She told him that the fear of singing in front of people is very normal, explained how lessons would work were he to continue, and gave a bunch of very helpful tips on singing AND piano in terms a 12 year old understands. Hopefully he will decide this is something he wants to do after all. Julia was obviously very knowledgeable, talented, and great with kids, and I hope we can continue lessons with her."

Please do not pass over this course when you see that it covers the ANATOMY of singing. Roma starts at the beginning because that is how we learn, at the beginning. I am not new to singing but was feeling rusty on my skills/knowledge. She includes so much information that you get to print and keep forever, including a vocal warm-up cd that you may download. Sometimes she is on video for warm-ups and talks to you like you are in the room with her. I recommend this course to anyone and everyone.
